Follow four teams of urban professionals as they attempt to survive the wilds of Alaska for three long months. See who's tough enough to take on this brutal environment as teams are placed in four different, yet challenging landscapes and equipped with a minimum ration of dry food and simple tools. To survive, they must learn to hunt, fish, and cut their own firewood in this physical and psychological struggle against nature.
Into the Wilds
Dennis Wise and his two daughters encounter a bear just minutes into their journey, while Greg and Bernice Pierson are pushed to their physical and mental limits as they attempt to climb a massive glacier. Meanwhile, Jeff and Elizabeth kayak through a treacherous ice field and come face-to-face with a massive bear, as Tim, Allen and Jasmine find themselves hopelessly lost just a few hours into the adventure.
What Did We Get Ourselves Into?
With a small ration of dry goods as their only food source, each group in the experiment must harvest protein to survive. Greg and Bernice hike back Hawkins Glacier to go mountain goat hunting, while Jeff and Elizabeth continue salmon fishing with their bare hands and build a bed out of logs to elevate their frigid wall tent. Plus, each group performs their first weekly medical test and learn that their all losing weight as a result of their new life.
